Gregory Carr, M.D. – Medical Director

Gregory Carr, M.D. received his medical degree from St. Christopher’s College of Medicine in Luton, England and completed his residency in psychiatry at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA.  He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (Psychiatry). Dr. Carr has been in private practice in Arizona since 2012 and has treated a wide range of mental health disorders with a specific focus in treating older adults.

Ashley Ellis – Chief Executive Officer

Ashley Ellis is a Registered Nurse and a graduate from Arizona State University. A large portion of Ashley’s experience is with in psychiatric or senior care settings. Due to Ashley’s background, she felt that Haven was a perfect fit to utilize her skill set as the CEO. She has held positions such as Nurse Manager, Director of Nursing and most recently Director of Performance Improvement and Risk Management. Ashley’s passion is providing a safe environment for patients to heal while providing quality, patient-centered care.

Donna F. Berry – Chief Nursing Officer

Donna F. Berry received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Texas – Arlington and plans to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Arizona.  Prior to Haven, Donna was the Chief Nursing Officer at Oasis Behavioral Health Hospital.  She has also held positions as the Director of Nursing, Case Manager and Nurse Manager. Donna has certification in psychiatric mental health nursing and is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association.  She is dedicated to supporting a culture focused on employee engagement, quality, patient safety and the overall patient experience.

Cristy Antoinette, R.N. – Director of Quality/Risk and Admissions and Referrals

Cristy Antoinette is a Registered Nurse and a graduate from The Pennsylvania State University.  Cristy has a decade of experience in behavioral health and has worked with the senior population for most of it. Cristy has held positions such as Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Healthcare Services and recently added a dual-directorship managing Assessment and Referrals as well as Quality and Risk at Haven Behavioral Hospital. Cristy’s goal is to provide comfort and stability to patients and families while maintaining a safe and pleasant environment.

Jennifer Tunning, LMSW, CPG – Director of Social Work

Jennifer Tunning is an LMSW and CPG (Credentialed Professional Gerontologist) who received her Master’s in Social Work and a graduate certificate in Gerontology from Arizona State University. She also holds a BSW and a B.S. in Family and Human Development from ASU. In 2015 she was chosen by the AZ Geriatrics Society for the Legacy of Life award for her dedication to gerontological social work and in 2017 was selected by the NASW to advocate for underserved populations in Washington D.C. Her graduate research has focused on behavioral health for older adults and includes work on evidence-based interventions for SI in the terminally ill and chemically dependent older adults. Jennifer has had the opportunity to serve in a geropsych hospital as well as provide hospice care; she enjoys her work and considers it a privilege to work with seniors and their families during vulnerable times in their lives.
